  Ever wondered how soap is made? The art of making natural cold process soap has been around for centuries, from the old Babylonian days way back in history. Natural cold process soap is made by combining natural oils or fats, such as coconut oil, olive oil, and palm oil, with a lye solution. This process is known as saponification and is what creates the soap. The resulting soap is natural, chemical-free, and can be used on both the body and face. Making natural cold process soap is a simple process, but it does require knowledge of basic chemistry. We use a proper formulation, the correct ratio of lye to oil, as well as the correct temperature, in order to ensure that the soap will turn out correctly and produce the desired result on the skin.
